| American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students in the nation. It is a participatory program where each boy becomes a part of the operation of his local, county and state government. Boys participating in American Legion Colorado Boys State can receive up to 4 college credits from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. At Boys State, young men are exposed to the rights and privileges, the duties and responsibilities of a franchised citizen. The training is objective and practical with city, county and state governments operated by elected and appointed officials duly placed in office by citizens of their respective Boys State. | |||||||||||||
