Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of
government instruction for high school students in the nation. It is a
participatory program where each boy becomes a part of the operation of his
local, county and state government. Boys participating in American Legion
Colorado Boys State can receive up to 4 college credits from the University of
Colorado-Colorado Springs. At Boys State, young men are exposed to the
rights and privileges, the duties and responsibilities of a franchised
citizen. The training is objective and practical with city, county and state
governments operated by elected and appointed officials duly placed in office
by citizens of their respective Boys State. |

Post 1980 Procedures.
 | David Turley is Post 1980's Boys State Chairman for 2010, and will be
working closely with Mark Martin, Guidance Counselor at Woodland Park High
School, to determine the Boys State Candidates and Selectee for attending
Boys State in June 2010.
