Meeting called to order at 7:12 p.m.

  1. NEW MEMBER(S):  Andy Tyler and Sherman Lemaster

 

  1. COMMITTEE REPORTS:

 

Scholarship.  Nick stated that the application is at the high school counseling office.  Nick sent the proposed “Article” for the newspaper to the High School for coordination.    

 

Golf get-together.  Oct 20  Nick will send an e-mail out middle of October…T-times must be made 1 week in advance.

 

Turkey Shoot.  Robby spoke concerning specifics of the “Shoot”.  The “Shoot” is scheduled for Saturday, September 29, 2007, 10:00 am.  Pat will donate the 22 shells.  Map of location was sent in mail.

  1. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  

 

Veterans’ Day.  Robby spoke with Buck’s (Jerry).  Buck’s said we were more than  welcome for us to be there.  However, not begin at the traditional time because they are busy.  Buck’s is requesting we look at 2:00 pm.  And, they suggest that money put out that order off of menu and to order off of three items.

 

Mobile Home Park.

 

$100 donation.  Nick briefed the situation about a very young girl with severe diabetes.  Nick requested that the Post donate $100 for medical support.  A motion was made and accepted to donate the $100 as long as there is some type of trust setup for her cause.  Nick said he would research and inform the Post.    

 

By-Laws.   Robby has numerous sets of by-laws to send out to the Committee members.  He will attempt to send out again.  To use as templates.  Then Committee will report.

 

Veterans Day.  Nick asked that the Post begin planning the Veterans Day meal.  Robby said he will speak with management at Bucks. 

 

Cruise Above the Clouds.  Kirby and Nick spoke about the event.  A number of Post members volunteered for the event which is to be held on September 15th. 

 

 

  1. NEW BUSINESS: 

 

Christmas Party. 

 

Reschedule of meeting for Christmas.  Dec 18th.

 

Bob Tyler, Kirby, sponsorship of 4-H club.  Kirby will use best judgment.

 

Discussion of membership took place.  Status of memberships. 

 

Community garage sale...buttons.
